The Part That Keeps Your Door Level
Cable drums are the grooved spools mounted at each end of the torsion spring shaft, above your garage door. As the door moves, the lift cables wind neatly into those grooves.
The drums are what keep both sides of the door rising and lowering evenly. When a drum is worn, cracked, or the wrong size for the door, the cables spool unevenly — and the door goes crooked, binds, or comes off-track.
Steward replaces cable drums in correctly-matched pairs and re-sets the cable tension, so your door sits level and travels smoothly from top to bottom.
