The Fine Print

Plan Terms & Disclaimers

Everything you should know before joining — in plain English.

12-month minimum term. All Care Plans are recurring subscriptions billed to a credit card on file with a 12-month initial term. After the initial term, your plan continues month-to-month and can be cancelled anytime with 30 days' notice.
Early cancellation. If you cancel during the initial 12 months, you'll be charged for the remaining months due OR invoiced for the value of any discounts, credits, or services received — whichever is less.
Active card on file required. You're responsible for maintaining a valid, active credit card. If a card declines and isn't resolved within 30 days, your plan is considered cancelled and Loyalty Credit accrual stops.
Loyalty Cash details. $100 first-month bonus + $10/month accrual. Redeemable on a new garage door installation of $2,000 or more. Not combinable with other promotional discounts or applied toward repairs. Forfeited if membership is cancelled during the initial 12-month term.
Member discounts. 15% repair discount and $0 trip charge cannot be combined with seasonal coupons or other promotional offers. Discounts apply to scheduled member visits.
$50 parts credit. One $50 credit per membership year, applied at point of service toward springs, drums, or rollers. Unused credit does not roll over.
2-year extended warranty. Applies to garage door repairs performed during your active membership on member-eligible parts and workmanship. Damage from impact, weather, or third-party tampering is excluded.
Annual tune-up. Includes one yearly multi-point inspection during regular business hours. Members can purchase additional tune-ups at 50% off the standard rate.
Service area. Membership is available only within Steward's DFW service area. We'll let you know during signup if your address is outside our zone.
Plan changes. Steward may modify benefit details with 30 days' written notice. Existing members will be grandfathered into the plan terms in effect at the time they joined.

Every repair we perform during your active membership is backed by a full 2-year warranty on parts and labor — double the industry standard. If a covered part fails within the warranty window, we replace it at no charge. Damage from impact, severe weather, or third-party work is excluded.

How does the $50 parts credit work?

You get one $50 parts credit per membership year, applied at point of service toward springs, drums, or rollers — the parts most likely to need replacement. The credit is applied automatically when one of those parts is on the work order. It doesn't roll over from year to year.

How do I use my member benefits?

Just mention you're a Care Plan member when you call or book. Priority scheduling, the waived trip charge, and your repair discount are applied automatically.

How much does garage door repair cost?

It depends on the problem and the parts involved — a roller replacement is very different from a spring or panel job. That's why we inspect the door first and give you an honest, transparent estimate before any work begins. We never start until you approve the price.

Do you offer same-day service?

Yes. We offer same-day availability across DFW for most repairs, and our technicians carry the most common parts on the truck so many jobs are finished in a single visit.

Is it safe to fix a broken spring myself?

No. Garage door springs are under extreme tension and are the most dangerous part of the door. Spring and cable work should always be done by a trained technician with the right tools.

How long does a garage door spring last?

Most springs are rated for around 10,000 open-close cycles — roughly 7 to 12 years depending on how often you use the door. If one spring breaks, we usually recommend replacing both.
