The tracks are the steel rails your garage door rides along — guiding the rollers as the door rises, curves overhead, and lowers. When a track bends or shifts out of alignment, the whole door suffers.
A misaligned or damaged track makes the door rub, stick, or bind — and in the worst case, jump off the track entirely, which is both dangerous and damaging to the door.
